Maintenance Technician

St. Edward’s College is seeking to employ a motivated full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the historic buildings and grounds of St. Edward’s College are maintained to the highest standards. The role requires a diligent, professional approach to preserve the College’s heritage, while ensuring that facilities remain safe, functional, and fit for purpose.

Essential:

• Proven experience in building maintenance or a related trade
• Practical skills in painting, plastering, carpentry, and general repairs
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads safely
• Good knowledge of health and safety practices
• Reliable, diligent, and respectful of historic buildings
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
• Ability to use Outlook for emails received through the ticketing system
• Good communication skills (English language)

Desirable:

• Certification or proven experience in basic plumbing and/or electrical maintenance
• Experience working in heritage or historic buildings
• Full, clean driving licence
• Good communication skills (Maltese language)

Working Hours

Monday to Friday from 0730hrs until 1600hrs.

In case of emergencies, or special events, might be required to also work over weekends
