Silver Linings
Thursday 26 Marcgh 2020
Dear Reader,
I hope this e-mail finds you well and in good health.
We are currently sailing in unknown waters - lots of uncertainty, doubts, and fear. The current unfortunate situation has enhanced our sense of vulnerability, we are all humans and hence vulnerable to all the terrible things going on around us. Our sense of routine, which usually grounds us to reality has been shattered, it has exacerbated our sense of uncertainty and fear of what is little known to us.
However, it is very important for us to see the silver lining. If this situation did not teach us anything, it helped us realize that everything is temporary, and hence this grey weather will also eventually pass. We will get to see the blue skies again.
After all, this situation has also brought us all together. In good times and bad - we have united to help each other out. We are all here to support one another, so if you need help, do not hesitate to reach out. While it is important to accord importance to academic work, it is even more important to focus on what matters most - stop and take a deep breath - you can do it!
Keep safe!
