Stories are a big part of our day at KG level. Every day a story telling session takes place to conclude the day together as a group. This is where the pupils’ listening skills and discussion skills are further enhanced and supported. Last week, the KG1 students dedicated more time to such sessions as they incorporated their topic and discussed story sequence, characters and even came up with their own unique ending to a story or other. They heard traditional stories like ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’, ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and many more. Story telling sessions are regularly held outdoors on our College grounds as the group seeks out a shaded tree spot or a cosy nook. Moreover, they retell the stories in their own words and take on character roles during role play too.
