Fees and Application

St Edward’s College is a private not-for-profit organisation run by a Board of Trustees and managed by a Board of Governors. The fees are adjusted on a yearly basis in the summer months unless exceptional circumstances require otherwise.

The first step to joining the St Edward’s community is to apply to join the college. In this section, you will find all the necessary applications for the sections you wish to apply for, including lists of documents you will need to complete the applications online.

N.B.

Please find below a summary of the applicable charges for the 2024/2025 academic year:

  • Non-EU Students: €200 administrative charge per term
  • Nursery to Senior School: €35 administration charge per term.
  • IB Sixth Form Students: €120 administration charge per term plus a €150 online subscription charge.
  • Edwardian Magazine: €5 per annum for online access (KG1 to Year 13); €20 for a hard copy.
  • Year 1 to Year 6: €10 online subscription charge per term.
  • Year 1 and Year 2: €10 annual charge for student portfolios; €20 for in-house workbooks (Year 1) and €15 (Year 2).
  • Swimming Lessons: €15 annual charge for students in Year 3 and above.
    Swimming lessons take place at the newly installed indoor Olympic size pool in the Cottonera Sports Complex.
  • Year 12 IB Examination Registration: €800 charge in the Trinity term.
  • Sibling Reductions: €70 for a 2nd child, €100 for a 3rd child and subsequent children.
  • Year 11 and Year 13: Tuition fees are charged in two instalments (Advent and Lent Term).
  • School Diary: €6 at the start of the scholastic year.

Scholarships for IB Sixth Form are awarded as follows:

  • 30% reduction on tuition fees for obtaining 6 passes at grade 1 or 2
  • (SEC: The National Secondary Education Certificate)  or A*/A or Grade 7-9 (Cambridge IGCSE)
  • 25% reduction on tuition fees for obtaining 3 passes at grade 1 or 2
(SEC: The National Secondary Education Certificate) or A*/A or Grade 7-9 (Cambridge IGCSE)
  • 20% reduction on tuition fees for obtaining 5 passes at grade 3
(SEC: The National Secondary Education Certificate), B or Grade 5  (Cambridge IGCSE)
  • 10% reduction for students who continue on from Year 11. This discount is only applicable for the first year of IB (Year 12)

Boarding fees for Scholastic Year 2024/25

Registration fee for boarding – €750 & €2,000 confirmation fee to secure a room.
(The confirmation fee will be deducted from the first term’s invoice.)

Visa assistance administration charge of €200 per year is applicable for all Non-EU Boarders.

Applications

To register your child you would need to complete the online application forms and pay a registration fee according to which section your child will be enrolling. Follow the instructions to complete the registration.
Students from age 16 to 18 who will be enrolling into our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme must take an entrance interview with our Head of IB.
