Continuously Progressing
This achievement is brought about by the dedication of all staff, who meet the challenges of the curriculum and employ their best knowledge and skills to cater for the needs of individual students in a mixed-ability environment.
The quality of teaching throughout the College is of an exceptionally high standard; from Nursery in the Early Years to Year 13 in the Sixth Form. Teachers motivate boys to produce their very best effort. Teachers equip their students with the right tools and encourage them to discover a healthy curiosity for the world around them.
Each subject has its own Head of Department who looks after the curriculum and the ensuing syllabus so that work is continually progressive forming a smooth and appropriate learning curve for our boys. This approach enhances the smooth transition of boys moving up from one section to another.
Think, Understand, Learn
Dedicated, caring and experienced professionals are the key to our success. The focus at St Edward's College is on students Thinking, Understanding and finally Learning (TUL).
At St Edward's we deliver our lessons with the most current, tried and proven international methodologies. You will see our teachers practicing TUL during their lessons. TUL has its origins with the Project Zero Group.
We recognise that all students have different strengths and areas they can improve on. It is the teaching staff that set the standards and expectations for our students; both academic and in terms of behaviour, all the time being guided by our Mission Statement.
