Today, we celebrated Grandparents’ Day at the college with a heart warming event dedicated to the Early Years students and their beloved grannies. The occasion brought a wonderful sense of joy and togetherness as the children welcomed their grandparents into their learning environment. Classrooms and gardens were filled with smiles, laughter, and the lively energy of shared stories and experiences across generations.
The students proudly showed off their work and enjoyed spending time with their grannies. Many of the grandparents shared their own childhood memories, enriching the experience with warmth and nostalgia. The bond between the children and their grandparents was evident in every hug, laugh, and shared moment.
Staff and students worked together to prepare thoughtful activities ensuring that the visitors felt valued and appreciated. There was plenty of time for informal chats and photo opportunities.
Grandparents’ Day reminded us of the importance of family, heritage, and the powerful role older generations play in a child’s development. It was a touching and memorable day that strengthened community spirit and left everyone with hearts full of gratitude and love. We look forward to making it a cherished tradition for years to come.
