Maltese Artists discussed at St Edward’s
The Year 3s, 4s and 5s were learning about Maltese Artists during the Music and Drama lessons. They saw the achievements of various Maltese artists from Actors to Musicians, Conductors and Film Directors, Scriptwriters and Dancers, Singers, Songwriters and Musical Theatre Performers.
The Year 5X among other classes did a presentation featuring other Maltese Artists. Max Ghio did a PowerPoint about his father’s band Fakawi and the boys were really impressed with the presentation. Cikku Grioli did a video call with Ivan Grech of Winter Moods – A 13-minute interview which he prepared and delivered himself. It was a hit with everyone.
Featured in the photos we have Sam de Maria who did a PowerPoint on Destiny. Alex Lanfranco presented a PowerPoint on Ira Losco. James Scicluna with a presentation on Gianluca Bezzina. Julian Swain with another PowerPoint on Destiny and Oliver Mallia Tabone with a PowerPoint on Ira Losco.
Other students from the class spoke about other artists like Charles Camilleri, Brooke Borg, MaryRose Mallia, Hermann Bonaci, Brian Schembri and others.
