HM's Weekly Message
#22
Friday 6 March 2020
Dear Parents and Community members,
Bus Lines at Days End
Today we will introduce a couple of slight changes to the manner in which boys board busses. The system was developed by staff with input from the Paramount supervisor, who, by the way, in his experience, says that we are the ‘most organised’ school which he has seen. Again he hinted that we have a ‘good’ system but we want a ‘great’ system!
There will be teething issues but we will evaluate if we need to revert or tweak. It is thanks to the openness and care of staff that we can manage these changes.
SEPTA picnic
SEPTA have been extremely busy this past few weeks. We now have a new executive committee and also the efforts of the ‘Picnic Committee’ will come to fruition this coming Sunday. The event kicks off at 10.30. All welcome to mix and mingle whilst relaxing in the exceptional grounds that we are fortunate to have.
Board of Governors
Our Board of Governors are scheduled to meet on a monthly basis. At the start of each meeting we have presentations by staff on various aspects of life at SEC. To date we have had our Student Support staff, our IB coordinator and a curriculum team, to mention but a few, present to the Board. This week it will be the turn of the Student Council. The council will be represented by Mr. Sebastian Sinisterra from Spain and Mr. Tudor Danil from Romania.
Covid 19
I’d like to thank all those parents who complied with requests to self-isolate themselves and their children after being in a WHO designated area.
As per our policy all students who are absent for 3 days or more are required to present a medical certificate. Any student who arrives at SEC without this certificate is placed in a ‘safe’ are and parents are called to collect the child.
We all need to cooperate on this.
