Mr Jeff Cranmer from BizAv Services Limited kindly joined the Year 9 Business Studies Class to explore with them CV writing skills and insights.

The Year 9 students are currently looking at the Human Resources aspects of recruitment.  We discussed different types of CVs and in which situations are they most effective, what employers look for in CVs and the first impressions they get from CV content. I hope they enjoyed this session and once more I thank Mr Cranmer for his time.

A little bit about our guest speaker: 

Colonel (Retired) Jeffrey Howard Cranmer: MSc (Distinction) HRM, FILM, Chartered MCIPD, MCGI

A strategic leader, manager and human resource specialist with over 30 years experience within the domains of defence, logistics, oil & gas and aviation.  His Army career, spanning 28 years, saw him command at squadron and regimental level, in numerous operational theatres around the World, such as Afghanistan, Iraq, The Balkans and others.  Having left the British Army, he took up employment as the HR Director for an oil services company operating out of Libya during a period of considerable upheaval and insecurity. 

He has a passion for human resources and has a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Human Resource Management (HRM) and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (Chartered MCIPD).  His extensive leadership and management acumen led to the award of Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (Fellow ILM).  As a self-employed business consultant, he works closely with clients such as BizAv Services Ltd: he recently established a recruitment agency on their behalf and runs it on a part-time basis.  He also lectures on a variety of HR, leadership and management topics.
