Facilities Co-Ordinator
ApplySt. Edward’s College is seeking to employ a motivated full-time Facilities Coordinator to join our team. The Facilities Coordinator will oversee the effective, efficient, and safe management of St. Edward’s College’s buildings, facilities, and grounds, with particular sensitivity to the College’s historic status. The role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance, refurbishment, and improvement projects, while leading the maintenance, cleaning, and security teams to uphold a safe and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong interpersonal written and verbal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse nationalities and cultures.
- Fluency in Maltese and English language. Other languages are considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Competent IT skills for record-keeping and scheduling.
- Adherence to the mission and values of St Edward’s College.
- Willing to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a dynamic educational environment.
- Confidence in sourcing and evaluating quotations and negotiating with suppliers.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum MQF level 4 standard of education. Preference will be given to candidates who are in possession of an MQF level 5 qualification.
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field. Experience working within an educational or heritage setting will be considered an asset.
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Leadership skills and experience supervising staff teams
- Ability to obtain, evaluate, and negotiate quotations and contracts
- Knowledge of health and safety and relevant compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, diligent, and respectful of historic and educational environments
- Full clean driving licence
