Chess success

The St Edward’s College chess team placed in the top ten in a recent tournament. Leo Ziyang(Yr 10), Yixi Li (Yr 12) and Samuel Spiteri (Yr 6) worked as a team and the result was success. The tournament took place at 12th April 2024. A thrilled Leo wrote: ” Although I have a lot of experience in playing in tournaments, it is my first time playing as a team, and I am very honoured to have represented the school. There were over 50 teams and 180 people participating in this tournament, me and my team got 9th place out of 51 teams. This is the result of everyone’s hard work, with great tactics and cooperation! We will try better next year!”
