Weather: sunny with the occasional sprinkle. That was what was going on up in the sky, but also what was going on on the ground. First day of school: bright and sunny for most, few sprinkles for the youngest students as they distance themselves from family for the first time in their life. Difficult for them and difficult for their parents. This is when the experience and empathy of the educators come to the fore. Speak to them, they will guide you and help you through this transition.
