Concepts such as weight and measurement are deceptively difficult for children to learn. Often, the idea of weight is tied to the material object in front of them with the classic question ‘what is heavier, 1kg of stone or 1kg of feathers?’ causing bafflement. In any case, they started on their first steps to understanding.
