The response we have been receiving from our students has been absolutely fantastic. For this week’s art activity Ms Lisa planned a Mixed Media Wintery art project. Students learnt that ‘mixed media art’ refers to the combination of more than 1 medium or material.

 

In art, media refers to what tools you use to work with. This project also incorporated 2 new techniques: WET on WET and Oil/Wax Pastel Resist. Students were encouraged to create their own winter masterpiece. 

 

The aim of this project was to revise motor skills such as drawing, cutting and sticking and also experiment with wet on wet techniques and paint splattering. The most important thing is to have fun and be creative.
