Literacy Learning in Nursery

Our nursery X students have currently been exploring the topic of colours. Through the topic they are broadening their understanding and developing their language skills. The nursery pupils have been listening to a number of stories revolving around their topic crafts. KG1W students have been practising their pre-writing skills through tracing activities using markers and fun flashcards linked to their topic. While KG2V students have been forming letters using a variety of resources and textures to solidify their letter formation abilities.

Progression, age-appropriate tasks, and scaffolded learning are key to ensuring our young pupils are motivated and enjoy the process of learning.
