Maltese gets foodie

As part of their current topic ‘L-Ikel’ Year 1Y boys had a sandwich making activity. Each student brought in his ingredients and made their favourite sandwich, which of course they then enjoyed eating. The students were asked to explain what their sandwich was made of to the class. The students identified common ingredients as well as different ones.

This was a great opportunity for the boys to enhance their Maltese vocabulary, express their likes and practise speaking in front of a group. In addition, they were encouraged to be fully independent whilst creating their own snack and followed a step-by-step process. It was great fun as the boys participated with great enthusiasm.
