On the Farm with Nursery Y

Our nursery classes use the Emergent Curriculum approach for their topic learning. Thus, our nursery team use their continuous observations to identify common interests of our youngest students at College.

This time round, our Nursery Y students have shown increasing interest in their class farm animals resources. Therefore, it was a given that ‘On the Farm’ would be their next topic. This week, the students learnt all about cows and milk. In the process they were lucky enough to develop their hand muscles during an outdoor ‘milking’ activity. This activity led to stories and videos to do with milk products to develop the student’s understanding and language.

Think, Understand, Learn at every level.
