Autism Awareness Month
Artworks
Monday 27 April 2020
Last week’s art lesson by Ms Lisa was all about Autism Awareness. The month of April is World Autism Month. The aim of this month and our project is to increase understanding and acceptance of people with autism, fostering kindness and world wide support. To show our support students were asked to draw anything that comes to mind as long as they use the colour BLUE! It could be a flower, a car, a soft toy, a pebble or it could even be something they understood about Autism. It could be absolutely anything. Why Blue? Because the colour Blue is the colour associated with Autism. It can also symbolise a feeling of calm and acceptance in a world that can be very loud and challenging especially during these times.
