Extra Lessons of English
as a foreign language

Friday 28 February 2020

A group of six keen and ambitious Chinese students still haven't had enough of studying English on a daily basis. They are so motivated and eager to improve their skills that they joined extra English classes which are held every Wednesday after school. However, improving communication skills is not the only aim of this class, but also learning English through fun, games and a lot of interaction. The students have already attended three lessons during which they were exposed to a wide range of activities. They watched an episode of an amusing TV series Mind your language and were asked to share their opinions. They also read a hilarious story by Paul Jennings Licked and were encouraged to comment on its humour. Last Wednesday, they enjoyed an hour of various games (Jenga and card games) in order to practise their grammar skills in the context of speaking. As shown in the pictures, they clearly had a lot of fun which proves that learning, although dreadful and painful at times, can be a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
