Of half days and celebrations

Half Days

After the long and very hard slog this year has been, summer is fast approaching and as the days get warmer, the more difficult it becomes for the children to concentrate. Please remember that as of this coming Tuesday we will be on ½ days. College will end at 13.00.

First Holy Communion

Thanks to the detailed ad committed work of staff, especially Ms. Grech and Ms. Caruana, our boys will be able to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion this weekend. We would normally have one ceremony but this year we will be having five. We are doing this to maintain our class ‘bubbles’ and at the same time maintain social distancing in college chapel. All participants have been given specific guidelines, please do your bit as parents/guardians and adhere to the guidelines.

Shade

Summer is here! Thanks to the contribution from SEPTA we can extend the shaded areas during breaktime. We have ordered new umbrellas which the boys can use to avoid the sun. The fact that we are changing to ½ days means that the break will be 20 minutes long, again lowering the amount of time spent in the sun.

Haircuts and class photos

Many thanks to parents for managing to shear the heads of our boys. I can now see the eyes and ears of many more. Well done, I do know that this can be a challenge. (shorter hair also helps with keeping cool!)
